Job Summary
Get Full Care provides personalized companionship services for seniors at home, with holistic support for their physical, mental, and social well-being.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Field Nurse to join our team.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license in Maryland
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
  • CPR/BLS certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build personal rapport and establish trust
  • Ability to make independent decisions and accept direction and requests
  • Ability to act swiftly in emergencies and work efficiently
  • Flexibility and patience to work in various living environments
  • Knowledge of clinical skills
  • Knowledge of state regulations related to home care
  • Must be collaborative and team-oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial assessments of patients and create care plan
  • Train newly hired caregivers
  • Monitor and assess caregivers’ delivery of care in the home setting
  • Supervise delegated tasks of medication administration and advise clients on health needs
  • Communicate with caregivers about ongoing responsibilities with clients’ daily living activities
  • Audit supervisory visits to ensure quality care
  • Keep accurate records of clients’ ongoing care and progress
  • Communicate with the healthcare team and family members as needed
  • Must be a delegating Nurse and do MedTech training.

Work Schedule:

  • Determined based on patient needs, likely involving daytime hours and potentially some weekends.

The Companion supports older adults by offering social and emotional engagement while providing personal assistant services.   • Assist with scheduling and errands, which may include transporting clients to and from various locations.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and provide any necessary support.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks (e.g., washing dishes, laundry, ironing, sweeping, mopping, changing bed linens, caring for pets and plants, meal planning and preparation).
  • Provide medication reminders (without administering medications).
  • Ensure the safety of the client’s environment at all times.

Perform other tasks as required.

Supervisory Duties

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Education Requirements

Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role.

Additional Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.

Possess a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance with a good driving record (transporting clients to appointments, errands, or social events is required).
Must be able to pass a criminal background check, TB screening, and physical exam (recertification as directed by a physician).
Required vaccinations: Hepatitis B, annual Influenza, MMR, Varicella (chickenpox), and Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, including 10-year boosters).

The work primarily involves light physical activity on a regular basis. Occasionally, the employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
